Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
When we invite the Lord into the deepest corner of our hearts, we begin to delight in Him. This delight is not a fleeting feeling but a steady, joyous knowing that He is the one who holds the compass of our life. In the same way Jesus invited us to sit beside Him on the hill, we are called to sit beside the Father, letting the rhythm of His love set the tempo of our hearts.
As we delight in the One who loves us first, our longing transforms. The desires that once seemed hard‑wired to our own will start to mirror the heart of God. We begin to seek His will, not our own, and in that surrender we find a peace that fills the spaces where our selfish hopes had once rested. The more we delight, the more the Lord shapes our hearts to reflect His own, and He gifts us the deepest, most authentic longings that align with His perfect love.
My Prayer…
Father, thank You for inviting me to delight in Your presence. I surrender my heart and my desires to You, asking that You shape them with Your loving guidance. May I grow deeper in my love for Jesus, and may my longing be a sweet offering that reflects the pure heart of You. In His name I pray. Amen.
