Proverbs 3:7-8

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

We are often called to seek wisdom, but the greatest wisdom is not the knowledge we accumulate, but the humility to recognize the heart of the Father. Jesus teaches us that true insight begins with reverence for God, that we should let the fear of Him guide our decisions. When we surrender our self‑confidence and open ourselves to the Father’s love, we hear the gentle voice of the Son, who invites us into a relationship that reshapes our thoughts, our desires, and our very character.

The promise that such reverence brings health to our bodies and nourishment to our bones reminds us that God cares for the whole of us. It is not merely a physical blessing, but a reflection of the harmony that comes from living in alignment with God’s will. When we shun what harms us—whether it is sinful thoughts, toxic habits, or unforgiving hearts—we allow the light of Christ to heal and strengthen us. In this way, each step toward the Father’s heart becomes an act of self‑renewal and a testimony of God’s transformative love.

My Prayer…

Father, thank you that in Jesus you invite me to let go of my own pride and trust in your perfect wisdom. I surrender my heart, my plans, and my fears to you, asking that your Holy Spirit guide me daily so I may live in a way that honors you and reflects the love of your Son. Help me to grow in understanding, to shun what detracts from your peace, and to receive the health and nourishment you promise. May your grace fill my life, and may I walk ever closer to you through the gift of Christ. Amen.
