1 Peter 2:24
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
When I read the image of Jesus on the tree, my heart is drawn to that humble sacrifice—His body bearing all that we cannot bear. It reminds me that God’s love is not a distant promise but a present, living reality: He chose the cross to give me the freedom to live for righteousness instead of the weight of sin. In that moment of death on the cross, He opened a door to a new life, letting me walk away from shame and step into grace.
I am comforted by the knowledge that His wounds are the source of my healing. They are not signs of brokenness alone but the very means by which God repairs my heart, stitching together the torn parts with compassion and strength. As I feel the softness of His love in the quiet moments, I am invited to let those wounds shape me—transforming hurt into hope, bitterness into gratitude, and doubt into deeper trust in the One who knows me best.
My Prayer…
Lord, thank You for bearing my sin on that tree and for healing me through Your wounds. Help me live in the freedom of Your righteousness, surrendering every part of me to You. May my heart grow ever closer to You, trusting in Your love and seeking to know Christ more each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
